ACVREP is requesting applications for membership on the Audio Description Certification Subject Matter Expert Committee “AD SME”. 

This committee will develop the certification standards and criteria and recommend them to the ACVREP Board of Directors for approval

following a 30 day public comment period.  This process is expected to take up to 24 months. 

Certification will establish quality standards for Audio Describers and Consultants and elevate the awareness of Audio Description as an important profession that is helping to provide full inclusion in education and community life for individuals who are visually impaired.

All applications for the AD SME must be submitted no later than December 15, 2018.
