LaSalle Putnam Alliance for Special Education has an immediate opening for a part-time Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist for the 2023-2024 school year. The LEASE Cooperative covers the twenty-seven school districts within LaSalle and Putnam Counties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties and responsibilities listed herein are representative of the expectations for this position, which include but are not limited to the following:
- Educating students with visual impairments on how to navigate their classrooms, school, and community environments.
- Develop IEP sections pertaining to Orientation and Mobility goals and objectives.
- Participate in Eligibility and IEP meetings for students
- Consult with school staff to best serve students’ needs
- Develop and manage schedule
- Other related duties as assigned
Salary: Competitive to the area and dependent upon education and years of experience.
