Minimum Qualifications

Knowledge of and demonstrated ability in teaching methods and techniques, learning style assessments and intervention strategies, disability characteristics and needs, basic workplace literacy needs, curriculum development, classroom and behavior management, Basic special education requirements for IEP development and implementation.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prefer applicants in possession of a Virginia Department of Education Collegiate or Post Graduate Professional License, preferably with endorsement in Special Education, or a Technical Professional License with endorsement in Vocational Education.

A combination of education and experience will be considered. Prefer experience teaching independent living skills and special education programs for students with disabilities.

 

Hiring Range: Negotiable up to $29/HR
