This position provides ADL and Communications instruction to Veterans in the residential blind rehabilitation program. Instruction is one-on-one. The provider is an integral member of an interdisciplinary team and participates in regular team meetings. Additional duties include, but are not limited to, serving as the program coordinator for one or more assigned Veteran, providing family/caregiver education, and completing occasional telehealth appointments with outpatient Veterans. Candidates with dual certification or training may have the opportunity to teach in other skill areas.
Entry-level applicants do not require certification but are expected obtain CVRT status within one year.
