A vacancy exists for a Vision Support / Orientation & Mobility Teacher to work within the Office of Early Childhood Services at the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit! This position is an Itinerant position that will provide services to children ages 3-5 years old throughout Montgomery County.
Qualifications:
- A valid PA certification in Teacher of the Visually impaired (TVI) and Orientation & Mobility (O&M) required
- Prefer Unified English Braille trained (UEB)
- Experience with students with vision support needs
- Current child abuse, PA Criminal and FBI Fingerprint clearance (dated within one year of hire)
Duties & Responsibilities:
- To develop an individualized program for students with vision support/orientation and mobility needs
Location:
The Montgomery County Intermediate Unit is located in Norristown, PA and services children throughout Montgomery County, PA. Our Early Intervention Program is split on school district lines into four (4) regions within Montgomery County. Position location will be determined during the interview process. Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 7.5 hours/day, 12 months (194 days/year)
Salary:
$51,172/year - $115,058/year
