$2,228.50 - $2,487.00 Biweekly
$57,941.00 - $64,662.00 Annually 

This position exists to lead, advise and counsel approximately 8 legally blind individuals at Program locations, all aspects of operating a business.  This position is a technical expert in managing, directing, and monitoring blind operators to enhance their career development and maximize their profits by providing technical assistance.  This position provides training to the blind operators in business concepts, proper fiscal management, food preparation, quality control, merchandising, inventory management, customer and employee relations, basic equipment repair and maintenance, sanitation, and compliance with all applicable laws.  Participates in policy making, management decisions, determines priorities, methods and procedures to ensure effective and efficient operations with the knowledge of the programs objectives.  This position provides feedback to blind operators, rehabilitation staff, and agency administration in order   to develop strategies to make locations more efficient and cost effective through assessing customer needs and assuring blind operators are developing new techniques; and correcting deficiencies to generate increased revenue, which increases blind operators set-aside amount paid into the Business Enterprise Program (BEP).

Additional appropriate experience will substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in: Culinary Arts, Food Service Management, Hotel Management, Business Management, or Entrepreneurship or a related field. 


Two years of professional experience in Food Service Management, required. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Front of house, and/or back of house management experience (I.E. General Manager, Food Service Director, District Manager, Executive Chef, Executive Sous Chef, Banquet Chef)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Energetic and Customer Service oriented.
