I. QUALIFICATIONS:
A. A Bachelor's, Master’s or certificate from a college or university with an accredited program in orientation and mobility (dual certification in vision and orientation and mobility and/or masters preferred).
B. ACVREP certification required.
C. Knowledge in the area of early childhood education and developmental needs of young children.
II. REPORTS TO: Director of Therapy Services
III. RESPONSIBILITIES:
A. Develops and implements the CCVI orientation and mobility program.
B. Upon request, observes and evaluates children referred to determine individual needs.
C. Develops an individual plan containing O&M goals which is discussed with parents and teachers.
D. Implements individual plan, keeping parents and teachers informed of child's progress.
E. Maintains data on each child's progress.
F. Engages in IEP, IFSP, Goal Planning and Staffings preparation and meetings.
G. Educates self with regard to current educational trends and new developments in the field of orientation & mobility.
H. Provides, with other staff members, in-service/training for staff, administrators, community partners and parents.
I. Ensures O&M needs are met by ordering or creating AMD devices.
J. Writes required reports on each child receiving O&M services.
K. Completes billing requirements.
L. Performs other duties as assigned.

SALARY: Compensation commensurate with education and experience for a full-time school contract.
