Birch Agency is currently looking for an experienced Teacher of the Visually Impaired for a school based opening in St. Charles, IL. This position is full time, 35 hours/week, for the 2019-2020 school year. Current caseload is 20-30 students, visually impaired w/ additional disabilities. Travel required (mileage reimbursement included). 

Job Responsibilities

• Provide direct and consultative services to students with blindness and visual impairments
• Caseloads include students between the ages of 3 and 21 years of age.
• Completion of FVA and/or O&M evaluations
• Development and implementation of IEP
• Consultation and training to staff
• Provide and maintain materials, equipment, and assistive technology
• Travel required
• Collaborate with other classroom teachers, school staff, and parents 

Minimum Qualifications

• Illinois licensed teacher of the visually impaired
• ACVREP O&M endorsement required for dual certified applicants
