Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Provide direct O&M instruction, including cane travel, spatial orientation, and environmental awareness
Conduct functional mobility and orientation assessments
Develop and implement individualized instructional plans
Teach use of public transportation and community travel skills
Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and progress notes
Ensure safety and follow established protocols during all instruction
Participate in meetings, trainings, and professional development as required
Required Qualifications
Certification in Orientation & Mobility
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Orientation & Mobility, Vision Rehabilitation, Special Education, or related field
Experience working with individuals who are blind or visually impaired
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to travel independently to service locations
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with children / adults / seniors
Knowledge of assistive technology related to mobility and low vision
Experience working in community-based or educational settings
Compensation & Benefits
Pay range: [$60-$80 per hour Depending on Experience]
Mileage reimbursement / flexible schedule

This is generally a contracted position and all eligible candidates will need to have their own professional liability insurance. Ensight is a non profit organization with the mission to provide people with low vision the services and resources that empower independent and productive living. We are looking for help along the Front Range from Fort Collins to Thornton, but additional locations are available as well.
