Orientation and Mobility Specialist needed in Redwood City, CA :

• Full time- 35 hours/week
• Contract for the entire 25/26 school year- 36 weeks.

Orientation and Mobility Specialist Overview: 

Provides instruction to students with visual impairments to help them develop safe, independent travel skills in school and community environments. The specialist conducts assessments, creates individualized goals, and collaborates with school teams to support student access and mobility. This role ensures compliance with IEP requirements and promotes independence across educational settings.

Qualifications:

• Master's Degree from an accredited college or university, preferred.
• Certification as an Orientation and Mobility Specialist (COMS)
• Ability to uphold board policies and follow administrative procedures
• Must have experience in identifying students with exceptional needs; at least 1 year of successful therapy experience in educational setting preferred.

Pay:

• $60-65 Hourly.
• Up to $2,100-$2,275/week
