Salary Range:$110,000.00 To 125,000.00 Annually

We currently have an exciting full-time career opportunity available to join the HKNC Leadership team as a Director of Field Services.  

 The Director of Field Services plans and directs all regional/field services activities for HKNC. In this role focuses on the collaborative field initiatives to expand national infrastructure and establish community- based service options and increasing the state and local capacity in the provision of services to youth, working age adults and seniors who are DeafBlind. 

 This is a remote position which requires regular travel on a national level. 

 Specific duties and responsibilities include: 

  • Supervise eleven (11) Regional Representatives and ten (10) Regional offices through the United States. 
  • Works collaboratively with HKNC Executive Director and Associate Executive to develop and monitor state contracts and activities and outcome of DeafBlind Specialists and Community based programs. 
  • Represents the organization at Regional and National Conferences such as CSAVR and NCSAB. 
  • Coordinate bi-annual Regional Representative meetings, schedule regular web conferences.
  • Actively participates in the strategic planning process. 
  • Provide and/or facilitate training for Regional Representatives.
  • Review and approve Regional Representative activity data, metrics and travel and office reimbursements. 
  • Maintain, negotiate and execute regional office leases. 
  • Assist members of Administration in prioritizing HKNC national advocacy and training initiatives based on field trends, consumers, and family needs. 
  • Work collaboratively with Information, Research and Professional Development Department in supporting Technical Assistance initiatives.
  • Advocate nationally and locally for improved services to consumers in their home community.
  • Oversee Regional Representative Government Performance Rating Appraisal data and all other performance measurement data, interprets data and implements recommendations based on data and results. 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 

  • A master’s degree in vocational Rehabilitation Counseling, or a closely related field required. 
  •  Ten to fifteen years’ working experience in vocational rehabilitation with DeafBlind services or associated human services industry strongly preferred. 
  • Proven leadership, communication, and organizational abilities required. Capability to manage multiple priorities and responsibilities concurrently in a fast-paced environment. Must possess excellent communication skills for interacting with individuals at all levels, both within and outside the organization. Proficiency in PC skills, including Microsoft Office.
