To make an impact, as Vision Rehab Therapist at UF Health Shands, you will:
Offers instruction in daily living skills, adjustment to vision loss, assistive technology, and low vision techniques to help clients with severe to total vision loss maximize their independence, safety, and quality of life.
Deliver most training and services throughout Alachua County.
To achieve excellence in this full-time role, we’re looking for:
At least 350 hours of internship supervised by a certified vision rehabilitation therapist, orientation and mobility specialist, low-vision therapist or teacher of the visually impaired.
Certification as a vision rehabilitation therapist from the Academy for Certification of Vision Rehabilitation and Education Professionals (ACVREP).
Valid driver's license.
Individuals with certification as an orientation and mobility specialist, low-vision therapist or teacher of the visually impaired may also be considered.
Schedule: Full-time
Shift: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday - Friday
Location: Deliver services and training itinerantly throughout Alachua County
