Description of CE Program/Activity
 Learner Goal's 1. To gain practical experience in the teaching of Leader Dog users. 2. To acquire methods to orient Leader Dog users to new environments. 3. To develop proficiency in assessment of potential Leader Dog candidates. 4. To develop the ability to effectively plan alternative routes for the Leader Dog user. 5. To become proficient in the observation and intervention of Leader Dog users. 6. To gain the basic knowledge of Leader Dog and long cane integration. Session s Description Leader Dogs for the Blind O&M Professional Seminars educate current orientation and mobility professionals on the use of guide dogs. Our Universities Program educates future orientation and mobility professionals on foundational techniques and instructional strategies. These seminars and programs broaden the reach of Leader Dog and increase the resources available to both students and professionals.
