This is a 2 day course. The presenter will discuss and model instructional strategies to support the Dynamic Learning Maps Essential Elements for mathematics implementation. Educators will explore topics such as Early Number Concepts, Algebraic Thinking, Geometric Thinking, and Operations for students with significant cognitive disabilities in the context of typical learning barriers (i.e., communication barriers, physical barriers, sensory barriers). This Professional Development is intended to guide you toward new thinking focused on learning math in a collaborative, student-centered learning environment. |
