This introductory course is ideal for those wanting to learn more about the field of Low Vision and the types of low vision aids that are available. After a review of basic low vision definitions and demographics, attendees will get an opportunity to see and use a variety of low vision aids (from magnifiers & telescopes to absorptive filters and CCTVs) in hands-on workshop in which the benefits and limitations of each major product category will be discussed.Helpful techniques on how to more effectively demonstrate low vision aids will also be shown. |
