Its scientific program includes: (a) pre-conference workshops; (b) one keynote address; (c) four plenary sessions with internationally known speakers; (d) eight concurrent sessions of oral presentations (i.e. four different rooms at the same time); (e) a 40-poster event along with exhibitors; (f) 3-hour field trip within: the greater Montreal visual impairment rehabilitation agencies, dog guide school, or university program. Delegates can also choose training activities within a 9-workshop program. Other activities will allow exchange and networking within the delegates, such as a welcome reception and a special evening/gala dinner. The Conference also honors a recipient with the well-known Suterko-Cory Award. The Conference theme, A world of innovation, will explore those main areas: 1) Environmental and transportation accessibility2) Development of technology and medical advances3) Innovative services for increasingly complex populations and social environments4) Value of an interdisciplinary intervention approach for enhanced rehabilitation outcomes
