This series will focus on hearing issues unique to students with deafblindness that teachers of the deaf and hard of hearing, teachers of students with visual impairment, and orientation and mobility specialists need to know. This webinar will share information on specific issues and strategies related to fitting a student with deafblindness with appropriate assistive listening devices such as the BAHA, cochlear implants, FM systems, and traditional hearing aids for use in the classroom and in outdoor environments. We will also review the basic types of hearing tests and how to read an audiological report. |
