This series will focus on hearing issues unique to students with deafblindness that teachers of the deaf and hard of hearing, teachers of students with visual impairment, and orientation and mobility specialists need to know. Specific strategies related to understanding hearing loss and hearing testing will be shared. This session will focus on preparing a deafblind student for an audiological exam, the difference between hearing and listening and provide basic information about the types of hearing loss and the impact on an individual with vision loss. |
