Description of CE Program/Activity
Improve efficiency and productivity of Braille materials using the latest version of Duxbury with Microsoft Word. In this two-day training, learn to use Microsoft Word, the BANA (Braille Authority of North America) template, and Duxbury Braille Translator (DBT) to prepare Braille files. Receive hands-on practice working with worksheets, tests, foreign languages, and math. Use QuickTac to create simple tactile graphics and insert the graphics into a Duxbury file. Guidelines from Braille Formats, Principles of Print-to-Braille Transcription, 2011 will be used and referenced throughout the training. Participants must have a working knowledge of Duxbury and Microsoft Word 2007 or higher.
