Description of CE Program/Activity
Gain knowledge about the Mountbatten Brailler, an electronic Braille writer that provides students with visual impairments a fun and easy way to learn and write Braille. The Mountbatten Brailler is also an embosser with Braille-to-print and print-to-Braille translation capabilities. Receive hands-on experience with writing, formatting, printing and embossing documents. Use the Mimic to show how Braille can be displayed in print as it is being written. The Braille music player and editor will be demonstrated. Tips on helping students gain access to print materials and using audio feedback to reinforce Braille learning will also be addressed.
