Description of CE Program/Activity
Help your students with visual impairments to understand concepts of 3-D geometry. Gain knowledge on teaching spatial geometry including concepts, relationships, vocabulary and mathematical communication skills. Build 3-D solids and learn how to make spatial concepts accessible by exploring area, decomposing to nets, touching a diagonal and a height, and having fun in this highly interactive workshop. Receive hands-on experience with linking the appearance of 3-D objects with their 2-D representations by using special foldable manipulatives.
