Today will focus on current considerations for supervisors of programs serving students who are blind or have low vision, students who are deaf or hard of hearing, and students who are deafblind. Participants will examine questions surrounding remote service delivery, including factors to consider when determining whether services can be provided effectively at a distance and what supervisors should consider and monitor when contracting with remote service providers. The day will also address accessibility within Zoom and other remote environments for students who are deaf or hard of hearing, highlighting barriers that can affect access and strategies for improving the remote learning experience. Dedicated facilitated supervisor discussion time will provide opportunities to share experiences, discuss challenges and successes, identify priorities, and learn from colleagues across programs. |
