Assistive Technology and Tactile Graphics: Assistive Technology and Tactile Graphics:Jennifer Fuller, CATT, and Jeff Schwartz, APH, will provide in-depth training in Assistive Technology, Tactile Graphics and teaching strategies.Workshop Objectives: Workshop participants will increase their knowledge and skills related to: Identify and evaluate emerging technology and accessible applications for students Utilize Braille Blaster to create and produce braille materials efficiently Explore accessible coding and STEM tools Develop strategies to assess and strengthen tactual skills Implement effective instructional strategies for teaching students to interpret and use tactile graphics Create and select appropriate tactile graphics using available methods and resources.Day 2: Development of tactual skills; Teaching strategies for student use of tactile graphics; Methods of creating tactile graphics; resources for further learning. |
