Description of CE Program/Activity
 This course provides background information about labor force participation, followed by results from two quantitative and one qualitative research projects investigating factors influencing labor force participation among people with visual impairments. Suggestions for interventions to support workforce participation are included. Learning Objectives: Differentiate employment-status groups among working-age adults with blindness/low vision (B/LV) Identify the strongest predictors of being unable to work or out of the labor force (OLF) due to health reasons Discuss how mentoring or self-employment could influence workforce participation Translate findings into actionable service strategies
