Description of CE Program/Activity
The presentation explores many facets and considerations for establishing and executing a Private Practice to serve individuals with visual impairments. This session is NOT legal advice, and the presenter encourages all attendees to work with accountants and lawyers in their home state. The session evaluates types of business plans, developing Articles of Organization, reviewing components of Agreements/Contracts (including billable services, rates, service delivery, and private transportation), mileage reimbursement, and liability insurance. The presenter reviews samples of an invoice template, evaluation agreement, ongoing service agreement, apps, and forms used to document service provision and travel, and more! The session will include an hour long presentation followed by a 30-minute Q&A.
