Reading, writing and editing documents with a screen reader may seem easy, but if you've ever taught it, you know it is not as straightforward as you think. In this six-week program, you'll learn how to read documents, place your cursor without vision, select text, and do advanced formatting in either Microsoft Word or Google Docs (your choice). Using the Eye.t Learning Portal, each week, you'll bring what you learn back to your learner and try out the techniques we teach you, and each week, you'll bring your questions right back to our live sessions. This program is designed for Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVIs), Orientation & Mobility (O&M) specialists, assistive technology professionals, and paraeducators working with students who are blind or visually impaired. Prerequisite: Screen Reader Basics. |
