This mini-cohort series is aimed at teachers who are just beginning to teach screen readers to their learners. This three-part professional development program introduces TVIs and assistive technology professionals to the fundamentals of screen reader technology. Participants will learn essential screen reader commands, navigation techniques, and teaching strategies through hands-on practice and collaborative learning. By the end of the program, participants will have a solid foundation in screen reader basics and be prepared to teach these essential skills to students with visual impairments. This program is designed for Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVIs), Orientation & Mobility (O&M) specialists, assistive technology professionals, and paraeducators working with students who are blind or visually impaired. No prerequisites. |
