The training emphasizes collaboration among AT consultants, occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, teachers of the visually impaired, educational audiologists, educators, and families. The beginning of the training centers on interprofessional roles in AT consideration and assessment, explores the distinction between Assistive Technology consideration and assessment, highlights collaboration with OT and PT professionals, and includes hands-on learning with AAC devices and mounting solutions. The latter part of the event is a consultant-designed experience featuring interactive breakout sessions on high-priority AT topics, including literacy, access, executive functioning, MTSS, AAC implementation, and AI-enhanced assistive technology. |
