Description of CE Program/Activity
 This presentation highlights the value of professional conference participation in the field of visual disabilities, with a focus on two key events: Getting in Touch with Literacy (GITWL) and the Western Regional Early Intervention Conference (WREIC). Participants will gain an overview of the history, structure, and unique offerings of each conference, as well as key takeaways applicable to educational practice.Attendees will explore how conferences foster professional growth, collaboration, and networkinghelping TVIs and COMS overcome the isolation often experienced in this specialized field. The session will emphasize the benefits of new knowledge, strategies, and connections into everyday practice, while highlighting opportunities for advocacy, skill development, and staying current with emerging trends in visual disabilities.
