Description of CE Program/Activity
 Many students with CLN struggle with the application of phonics to reading and writing. This session will show how decodable text is paired with phonics instruction so that every lesson includes application to reading. Another critical area of instruction is vocabulary development. Unfortunately, many of our language activities are not targeted or systematic enough. Strategies that will elevate the level of language and vocabulary instruction will be discussed. Educators will leave with practical tools to connect phonics to text and boost vocabulary learning.
