This comprehensive session is designed to expand participants' understanding of the unique needs of individuals who are DeafBlind or visually impaired with additional disabilities. Through a focus on communication, team-building, cultural competency, and family collaboration, attendees will explore instructional strategies and tools that promote more effective Orientation and Mobility (O&M) services.Participants will engage in interactive discussions and hands-on activities that highlight best practices for working with DeafBlind consumers, with special attention given to communication methods, accessible instructional materials, and system navigation supports. |
