Practitioners serving individuals who are blind or visually impaired must ensure that they are equipped with the appropriate attitude, motivation, and skill set to provide effective training strategies that address the unique needs of individuals from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. Participants in this session will learn about common symptoms of PTSD, paranoia, and anxiety Veterans may present our inpatient setting. They will gain an understanding of the stigma and common misunderstandings related to these symptoms. In addition, participants will be able to incorporate techniques and strategies to support Veterans with PTSD, paranoia and anxiety symptoms within our blind rehabilitation inpatient setting. |
