Description of CE Program/Activity
 Comprehensive Management in Pediatric and Special Needs Optometry: Approaches to Low Vision and Developmental Considerations in Primary CarePrimary Care Exams vary depending on each individual patients needs. For populations such as pediatrics, intellectually or developmentally disabled patients and more specifically low vision patients- the exam process may need to be adapted, often using alternative approaches or equipment. Considering the patients specific needs ensures that each patient receives the most effective care, with a focus on their individual abilities and challenges. All of this plays a role in the overall care between providers and healthcare teams. Learning Objectives: 1. Discuss effect strategies for conducting comprehensive examinations tailored to this unique population. 2. Describe the clinical considerations of low vision pediatric, developmentally and intellectually disabled patients in the primary care setting. 3. Highlight the importance of interprofessional collaboration to optimize patient outcomes.
