Out featured speakers are Dr. Rona Pogrund and Dr. Beth Foster Dr. Pogrund will be discussing the updated Visual Impairment Scale of Service Intensity of Texas (VISSIT) a workload analysis scale and Dr. Foster will share her knowledge of adapted PE for children who are blind, visually impaired or deafblind, including those with multiple disabilities.Learning Objectives:1. Participants will demonstrate understanding of the use the Visual Impairment Scale of Staffing Pattern Analysis (VISSPA) for tracking and documenting their service hours and workload. 2. Participants will identify at least three strategies for improving the range of movement and physical activities for blind, visually impaired and deafblind students with multiple disabilities3. Participants will be able to identify at least one new product or service that is available through the APH Connect Center. |
