Description of CE Program/Activity
 The purpose of this training is to provide hands-on instruction on the delivery of service to Veterans admitted to the Blind Rehabilitation Center as a practical mobile application for training. Participants will learn the Be My Eyes and Seeing AI interface and apply the skills with a hands-on training during this presentation. Be My Eyes is a useful mobile app with many accessibility features: enabling the user to be able to recognize objects and cope with everyday situations. An online community of volunteers assist blind and visually impaired individuals and assist through the individual s primary language via live stream from their mobile phone camera. There are other beneficial features provided free to users on a 24/7 basis to encourage a more independent life. Seeing AI is a mobile application with multiple uses. The Application is embedded with OCR capabilities allowing users to read mail and other documents. Seeing AI uses artificial intelligence to assist blind and visually impaired users currency, color and light and scene identifyThis presentation will provide an overview and comprehensive snapshot training on the use of these software applications to be able to carry out an assessment and understanding of the program on a 1:1 basis once a Veteran is admitted to the West Palm Beach Blind Rehab Center for training.
