Participants will delve deeper into the process of individualizing assessment tools to meet the unique needs of each student with Cortical Visual/Cerebral Impairment (CVI), a brain-based visual impairment. Building on the foundational knowledge from the previous session, this workshop will provide practical strategies and hands-on activities to tailor assessments effectively. Participants will analyze case studies and real-world examples, and practice customizing assessment forms based on hypothetical student scenarios. The session will also cover strategies for incorporating individualized assessment results into the development of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and tailored support strategies. Educators will gain strategies to support professional best practices and learn about new and upcoming developments in the area of CVI assessment. Following the presentation, teachers will move into breakout rooms for networking with others to discuss topics further, ask questions, and share ideas and resources. |
