Introduction:This presentation will focus on learning the configuration/setup and accessibility software of the Apple Watch and the learning of these features within the iOS accessibility program is so important. After this presentation, the participants will be able to assess and recommend the Apple Watch, if appropriate to Veterans to improve their daily living, improve their communication, help them to stay active, and monitor their health. Those who attend this presentation will learn about the accessibility features that the device has to offer and will learn about the health features such as fall detection, EKG, blood oxygen, voiceover, Siri, and hearing accessibility features. This training will be a hands-on training on the use of these organizational utilities and their functional application when training our Veterans with a visual impairment. This training will include pre-assessment, assessment and issuance criteria. This training will demonstrate the participants on the functional application of GPS with Apple watch and how it works in conjunction with Apple or Google Maps. |
