Description of CE Program/Activity
 During this session, we will explore the evolution of lightboxes starting with its origination and purpose to how it can be used during current day instruction to engage learners. By integrating budget-friendly lightboxes into instruction, educators can provide another level of interactive and inclusive learning that caters to students' specialized needs. We will discuss the importance of the use of lightboxes as a multi-sensory approach, how to easily integrate it into various instructional environments, as well as provide a hands-on experience to promote key ideas that are easily implementable in the classroom.Micha Seely is an orientation & mobility specialist with Region 10 ESC. In her position, Micha provides direct orientation & mobility services year-round for Region10, serving her assigned districts during the academic school year, transitioning to the summer service provider for all ECI, ESY & other various summer service needs for orientation & mobility. She also serves on the Region 10 ECC committee to provide insights, expertise, & planning of events hosted by Region 10 such as White Cane Day, Holiday Market, UNT College Day, etc. Before transitioning to Region 10, Micha owned a private orientation & mobility contracting company, holding contracts with numerous districts within the DFW metroplex, East Texas, DART, & TWC. When not serving students or districts, Micha enjoys time with her family & friends, baseball, & CrossFit.Kelly Bevis is a teacher of students with visual impairments, TTU university supervisor, & program coordinator at Region 10 Education Service Center in Richardson, Texas. In her position, Kelly leads a team of APE, OT, PT, TVI, & COMS who deliver direct services to students in districts & charters within the region. She also supports TTU as a university supervisor in growing new TSVIs as they enter the VI profession.
