Participants will learn how to use AIS JAWS: Bite by Byte Curriculum Guide and AIS TAMs (Tangible Access Models) to support conceptual knowledge and instruction for using a computer with a screen reader. The training will focus on JAWS as the primary screen reader, but instruction is relevant for all screen readers and users can choose to bring a different operating system or screen reader to the training. Objectives:Participants will identify and implement at least three strategies to troubleshoot common issues encountered when using screen readers.Participants will explore and apply at least three different navigation techniques for web pages using screen readers.Participants will learn and practice at least four key strategies for effectively using Google Workspace applications (such as Google Docs, Sheets, and Drive) with screen readers.Participants will learn and apply at least four essential strategies for utilizing Microsoft Office applications (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) with screen readers.Registration closes July 8th and is Limited.
