Description of CE Program/Activity
 Head-mounted display (HMD) systems for low vision enhancement were first developed in the 1990s. Since then, technology has advanced to allow for many other commercial systems to enter the market and be used in low vision rehabilitation (LVR). The aims of this lecture are to describe past HMD technology, outline key features of current available HMDs, present data supporting the use of these devices in LVR, and describe areas for future improvement.
