While prism is unique in its ability to alter the path that light travels, it is sometimes underutilized in low vision patient management. This course reviews basic prism optics as well as clinical applications and cases incorporating prism for patients with low vision. Attendees should leave this course feeling more confident incorporating prism during low vision patient management for a host of patient presentations including: diplopia, macular disease, visual field loss (both hemianopic and non-hemianopic), and certain eye movement abnormalities. |
