Description of CE Program/Activity
Ashley Wade, presenterThe NABA Youth Program's virtual programs provide a valuable opportunity for teens to develop essential skills for independence and employment readiness. The NABA Go-Getters program focuses on building soft skills crucial for success in the workforce. The program's success is evident in the engagement of participating youth and their consistent practice of important skills. This presentation will teach the importance of ongoing skill development and offers practical strategies for supporting teens in their journey toward acquiring essential pre-employment skills. The NABA Go Getters is a virtual program that was launched in September 2023. This program was created as an extension to NABA s SKILLS (Success is Knowledge, Independence, and Life-Long Learning for Students) program that is facilitated for a week in August for teens getting prepared to start their first jobs the following summer. This session will give the audience a better understanding of how to facilitate a career focused virtual program that is educational, fun and interactive. This session with incorporate discussion, interactive activities, NABA Youth testimonial and end with Q/A.
