Join us for an engaging 60-minute training session on using electronic sensors (switches) available in kits at your regional PaTTAN office. Discover how electronic sensors are able to support students in managing access using switches, with ease of energy (as sensors are zero force), with transparency to the device being managed, for increased accuracy of switching control and frequently allowing the student to utilize two switch scanning access, in essence removing wait time. These applications can support students increased task engagement as the motor control of the task is now easier from an energy demand, and more time and energy can be utilized in cognitive pursuit. We'll delve into considerations for students faced with significant motor challenges and explore strategies to enhance their engagement with the surrounding environment.
