Description of CE Program/Activity
Dr. Christine Roman-Lantzy, Director of the Pediatric VIEW Program at The Children s Home & Lemieux Family Center and creator of the CVI Range will discuss strategies for working with students in Phase I in a meaningful way. This presentation will provide an opportunity for attendees to consider content related to the earliest Phase of CVI in which individuals with CVI are at the beginning of learning to use vision and better interpret visual information. Content will include an overview of the principles and practices associated with Phase I CVI.Learning Objectives: Attendees will Increase awareness of methods to recognize individuals whose functional vision is associated with Phase I CVI Increase understanding of the distinct visual and behavioral aspects of Phase I CVI. Increase skills associated with providing meaningful interventions and environments for individuals whose functional vision is associated with Phase I CVI
