Description of CE Program/Activity
 "Vision Quest: An Artist/Physician's Journey of Seeing." This course reviews a self-case-study by a physician diagnosed with glaucoma at age forty-five. Etiology of glaucoma and the subsequent and necessary low vision rehabilitation adaptations will be discussed. Further therapeutic value of the role of visual arts in adapting to vision loss and its role in the healing arts more broadly will be explored. Instruction Level: Introductory; Prerequisites: None. Learning Objectives: 1. Characterize the etiology of glaucoma. 2. Define normal pressure glaucoma. 3. Analyze the vision rehabilitative adaptations for the physician/artist with glaucoma. 4. Compare characteristics of artists and scientists. 5. Evaluate the value of combining art and science.
