Description of CE Program/Activity
Join us as we learn about the lived experiences of DeafBlind individuals who have gone through different disasters and emergencies from different areas of the country. With a group of panelists, we will hear stories about what ensured their survival, what they would do differently, and what life lessons that these people learned. There will also be a discussion on how first responders, family, and community members can support the DeafBlind community during an emergency. We hope you will walk away with nuggets of wisdom to apply to your own life. The panel will be facilitated by HKNCs DeafBlind Employment Specialist (DBES) Kacie Weldy. ASL interpreting and captions will be available on Zoom.
