The Center for Assistive Technology and Training (CATT) will provide a hands-on / demonstration of key American Printing House for the Blind assistive technology on September 26th. On September 27 and 28th, Robbin Clark will provide two days of training on the Expanded Core Curriculum (ECC) for Students with Blindness/Visual Impairment. The goal of the Expanded Core Curriculum is to produce interdependent individuals who are self-reliant and prepared for post-school life. The ECC begins early and should be evident across all grade levels. Students must have deep and meaningful connections to the world around them as well as essential core skills of 21st-century learning such as critical thinking. The training will highlight how to upgrade specially designed instruction to an authentic approach that supports applying and transferring skills.
