Description of CE Program/Activity
This training is designed to provide a greater depth of knowledge regarding Cortical Visual Impairment (CVI) and its impact on access to the curriculum and learning for students with visual impairments. Important Session Information:Come to this one-day CVI Training Session and Make 'N Take Workshop to learn about the most "promising" strategies, tools and materials to use with students with CVI, who function at the sensorimotor level of development (Phase I CVI). The morning session will focus on Literacy for Students in Phase I CVI. You will learn how to create literacy materials that are truly accessible for your students. During the afternoon, there will be an interactive Make N Take session. You will receive materials to create a black, CVI Den and at least two visual targets to use in the CVI Den! In addition, you will learn how to fill out a Vision Plan (based on either The CVI Range or the Perkins CVI Protocol).
