Practitioners serving individuals who are blind or visually impaired must ensure that they are equipped with the appropriate attitude, motivation, and skill-set to provide effective training strategies that address the unique needs of individuals from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. In this presentation, providers will learn communication skills when engaging in difficult/critical conversations with Veterans. Participants will learn the impact of avoiding critical conversations and understand conflict resolution skills/tools and how to apply them in a rehabilitation setting. |
