In this hands-on workshop, we will be making adapted toys for switch access, using AAC and incorporating literacy skills for classroom participation. We will talk about why learning to use a switch is important and will show you a step-by-step tutorial. Participants will learn basic soldering to join wire segments to adapt a toy. This is a great skill to learn and can be transferred to many other uses. Tools will be provided for this session. Each participant will take home a switch adapted toy, core board, and a related book. Space is limited to 25 participants. |
